Clueless

What stood out on this viewing was how carefully the film constructs its representation of teens since this applies to my age group particularly. The setting, clothing and mise en scene in general felt like I was taken to a 90's world At first I thought the movie's messaging was very surface level, which was my original reading, then I noticed that there is more meaning at work.

For example this lies in the screenplay where character interaction and humour led to me laughing.


Conclave


What stood out on this viewing was how carefully Conclave constructs its representation of power, secrecy and responsibility, since this applies to my interests particularly. The setting, costumes and mise en scène in general felt like I was taken into a completely enclosed world where every gesture, glance and dialogue carried some deeper meaning. The films accuracy to the physical structure of the Vatican, the echoing halls, the closed chambers, even the small rooms where characters briefly pause to think, made the whole environment feel both intimidating yet intimate. At first I thought the movies messaging was very surface level, which was my original reading, then I noticed that there is more meaning at work For example this lies in how the script builds character interaction, using small comments or moments of hesitation to show how weak trust becomes under high pressure. I found that the way the cardinals spoke to each other, sometimes politely and sometimes rudely, led to me feeling absorbed in the political drama of ther relationships. Simple conversations revealed hidden motives, personal doubts and moral drama, for example doubts in faith which made me rethink my assumptions about who held influence. The film used humour in very little amounts, but when it appeared it felt natural and slightly relieving, breaking the tension just enough to make the characters feel human.

Mise-en-scene video feedback and learner response

Teachers feedback: Highlighted keywords , courier font for the script, soundtrack, location, camera 360, costume and pushups were good, and what I did well. What I could have done better was flow the shots together better and take the coat off. 2. Class feedback: WWW . Good angles . Soundtrack . Camera shots . Good music . Good editing EBI: .
